Abstract
The Handbook is intended to strengthen the design of country program strategies and development projects. It contains poverty methodologies and tools to adequately incorporate issues related to gender, labor, indigenous peoples, and other socially relevant issues such as participation, involuntary resettlement, risk/vulnerability assessments and mitigation plans in transport, energy, finance and other investments, as well as upstreaming social issues in national strategies.
