Abstract

This paper explores the current situation in China concerning the awareness, attitude and usage of euthanasia against a central point of whether or not euthanasia should be legalised. In the course of doing so, various opinions from medical experts, legal practitioners and politicians are collected and analysed to provide a wide spectrum of the issue. This paper then concludes that the current legislation fails to provide an answer and there is an immediate need to update the legal system in China.
