Abstract

A few authors have recently argued that dogmatism, and similar positions, are incompatible with Bayesianism. I set out the argument, and note that the dogmatist position seems more plausible than one of the Bayesian principles that is used to generate the incompatibility. I suggest a small weakening of Bayesian updating principles that removes the incompatibility.
