Abstract
Project finance is one of those areas of corporate and banking practice that is relatively unknown except to its practitioners. The American Lawyer, for example, in its yearly supplement on major corporate transactions, does not list project finance even though loans to such transactions totalled close to $6 billion in the United States and Latin America in 1992. The general business press is no more informative than the legal press. ... Project Finance should help to rectify this situation. The author is the London-based firm of Clifford Chance, which has participated in project financings in power, infrastructure, oil and gas, petrochemicals, basic industries, mining, hotels, water and telecommunications.
