Abstract
The paper examines the regulation of crypto assets in Malta and specifically the role of the VFA agent. The concept of the VFA Agent is a novel one introduced to ensure that a first line of defence independent from the Regulator is set up in order to keep persons who are not fit and proper out of the Maltese financial services industry.
