Abstract
English abstract: The report points out the goals and objectives of the aspect of "home reading" in the conditions of studying at a non-linguistic university, offers options for organizing the stages of work within the aspect, types of step-by-step activities and exercises for learning reading skills, and draws attention to the difficulties encountered when working with texts for home reading. The author notes the essential role of this aspect as a means of learning and control, contributing to the formation and development of related learning skills, as well as critical thinking of students. The work on this aspect implies a close relationship of all language activities, as well as the correct organization of classes. Competently selected leaning activities and the continuous reinforcement of students' thinking activities at all stages of text production contribute to the effectiveness of extracting information from the text and its critical reflection.
Russian abstract: В докладе отмечаются цели и задачи аспекта «домашнее чтение» в условиях обучения в неязыковом вузе, предлагаются варианты организации этапов работы в рамках аспекта, виды поэтапных заданий и упражнений для отработки умений чтения, а также обращается внимание на трудности, возникающие при работе с текстами для домашнего чтения. Автор отмечает существенную роль данного аспекта как средства обучения и контроля, способствующего формированию и развитию смежных учебных умений, а также критического мышления учащихся. Работа над данным аспектом предполагает тесную взаимосвязь всех видов речевой деятельности, а также правильную организацию занятий. Грамотно подобранные задания и постоянная активизация мыслительной деятельности учащихся на всех этапах работы над текстом способствуют эффективности извлечения информации из текста и его критического осмысления.
