Abstract

This review rebuts the presumptions of the author who considers the views of individuals such as Sayyid Qutub, Abdullah 'Azzam, 'Abdul Salam Faraj, Osama bin Laden, Ayman al-Zawahiri whose teachings have influenced the IS as Islamic which is never the case; the author has not countered their arguments nor mentioned the fallacy of their arguments from an Islamic perspective. In building his main analysis, the author presumes that these arguments are acceptable under Islamic law. The arguments of the influencers of IS needed a strong rebuttal but, unfortunately, the book provides a sort of eulogy of it.

Keywords: ISIS, Qutub, Azzam, Faraj, Osama bin Laden, Zawahiri
