Abstract
The Evidence Based Management Attitude Scale (EBMAS) measures the attitudes of mental healthcare providers toward adoption of Evidence-Based Practice (EBP). The EBMAS includes four dimensions of attitudes toward adoption of EBP: Appeal, Requirements, Openness, and Divergence. This study relates the EBMAS to Big Five personality factors in a worldwide sample of 251 participants. The data did not fit a structural equation model including Hofstede’s Values Services Model, Big Five Inventory and the EBMAS. As far as we know this is the first research study in the social sciences using the Microworkers crowdsourcing website, establishing it as a useful alternative for Amazon Mechanical Turk, especially for studies requiring international participants.
