Platforms offering features such as leaderboards, rewards, and instant trade execution have attracted young investors eager for engagement and quick returns. This approach has democratized access to financial markets, fostering financial literacy and encouraging early participation in wealth-building activities. However, it also raises concerns about impulsive decision-making, excessive risk-taking, and the long-term sustainability of such investment behaviors. Gamified investing may promote speculative trading driven by dopamine-fueled engagement rather than sound financial principles. This article explores the dual nature of gamified investing in the Indian context, analyzing the benefits and drawbacks while considering regulatory challenges, the influence of social media, and the role of fintech platforms in shaping Gen Z's investment habits. By comparing case studies and market trends, it provides insights into whether gamified investing empowers Indian youth or leads them toward financial instability. Balancing innovation with responsible investing is crucial to ensuring Gen Z benefits from the financial revolution without falling into its hidden pitfalls.
