Unraveling the Link: How Innovation - Driven Strategies in Chinese Enterprises Catalyze Organizational Resilience and Navigate Turbulent Markets

Abstract

Using panel data of Chinese A-share listed firms from 2015 to 2023, this study investigates the impact of innovation-driven development on organizational resilience and explores its underlying mechanisms. The findings reveal that innovation significantly enhances resilience, primarily through improvements in ESG performance and total factor productivity. Furthermore, ownership structure exerts a positive moderating effect, with state-owned enterprises benefiting more from innovation. This research offers new empirical evidence and policy insights for strengthening firms’ adaptive capacity and advancing high-quality development in the face of growing environmental uncertainty.
