The Outcome of Mentoring on Job Satisfaction, Job Role Stress, Job Attitude and Staff Turnover Intentions in Food and Beverage Department of Hotel Radisson

Abstract
Observing very few mentoring studies in hospitality literature, this study develops and test, a research model to understand the influence of monitoring functions on role stress, job attitude and staff turnover intentions in hotel Radisson Blu, Greater Noida, Uttar Pradesh. The data has been collected with the help of a structured questionnaire from employees of Radisson Blu,Greater Noida, who had been part of mentoring programs. This study revolves around four main functions of mentoring activity of this hotel including carrier development, psychosocial support, refresher program, motivational effort and others. Statistical analyses were used to examine the importance and role of the connect among different functions and the final outcome among the different variables.The psychosocial function reflects a strong relationship among the variables in this study. A positive reflection on job satisfaction, organizational commitment, a negative reflection on role conflict, role ambiguity, turnover intention. No significant connect was observed between carrier development function and role ambiguity, between role modeling and role ambiguity, or between role ambiguity and turnover intention. A positive reflection was observed as on role clarity due to refresher programs and motivational efforts resulting in positive organizational commitment. The final outcome of this study will enable need and effects of mentoring on job satisfaction leading to positive reflections and outcome on staff turnover and directions for improving their outcome.The proposed structural equation model and this study can help present day hotel human resource and operational hotel managers in focusing and developing more effective mentoring programs.
